When Ibrahim had landed in the Peloponnese he had intimidated the population to worship Ibrahim. The great fighter for the liberation of Greece from the Ottomans, Theodoros Kolokotronis, had given the order that whoever worshiped Ibrahim would punish him, and thus prevented this situation. In his memoirs he had said that at that time he was afraid for his homeland.
