The British magazine “The New Statesman” (https://www.newstatesman.com/) has determined that 26 of the people Trump has nominated for top positions have more than 100 million dollars at their disposal. Twelve of them have a billion dollars or more, all the way up to Elon Musk, who is said to have a fortune of 439 billion dollars. That is more than the gross domestic product of countries such as Finland or Chile.

This accumulation of billionaires close to the president is remarkable, given that Trump won his election on the promise to stand up for the concerns of average Americans.
