Concorde is super sonic transport with 4 Olympus turbojet engines utilized from 1976 to 2003 by AirFrance and British Airways. Its external features are delta wing, thin fuselage, droop-nose which is lowered during taxing, take off, and landing operation to scan around etc. Its design is buautiful and it can fly as fast as mach 2.02! But only 20 Concorde were built. Many expensive jet fuel is necessary to fly super sonic speed. It can carry only 100 people with small cabin. Concorde fare is very expensive and failed to increase users. BAC and Aerospatiale failed get enough order to be profitable. By contrast, Boeing 747, developed at the same time, was constructed over 1400 and improved version is under construction even now. So its cost-effectiveness is much worse than normal sub sonic airliner like 747. It became just lamp of France and Britain prestige at all.
