NVA, (New Flemisch Alliance - Neue Flämische Allianz), a Flemish nationalist party tries to target everything progressive, the French-speaking community, unions in general, as well as the Belgian federal prime minister Elio Di Rupo. In Flanders we have a tradition we call "Flemish Fair" (Flämische Kirmes) which is a small scale (low budget) fair. The concept is fortunately chosen since the phenomenon is rather "muggy", "platt" in this day and age, and it is indeed "extreme" Flämisch. The character in is a well known member of this party in Belgium.
