America did far too little to protect the Gulf states during the war.
Now, America seems to be doing nothing to keep Iran in check:
They want sanctions to disappear and Iran to be able to replenish their state coffers without restraint through oil sales; furthermore, the Americans have held out the prospect of withdrawing from their bases in the Gulf.
And on top of that, the Gulf states — which were fiercely attacked by Iran during the war — are supposed to pay 300 billion dollars to that very country!
