It was on March 21, 2013 that OptionsClick revealed this editorial business political cartoon, featuring the American President, Barack Obama, and the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. The two are caricatured at the site of an Iron Dome system taking down a threatening rocket. It may not provide you with any clues about the Knights Templar or the secret order of the Freemasons, but the drawing does illustrated how the ongoing war between Israel and the Palestinians can be extruded to facilitate a humorous op-ed webcomic drawing which links itself to the failing economy of Cyprus. The little nation on an island has seen troubles that stem from their loan to European Union member state Greece, which failed to repay them back. That same European Union then came back to the Cypriot banks to offer them a bailout, to be paid back in spades, to cover the loan which Cyprus made to the defaulting EU nation. That is literally a looping negative fall. The drawing published here makes light of the two sad topics by the power of the pen, and the potency of the paper on which the ink is placed. Why this drawing is as popular as it is, can be answered only by you. In other words, every person who gazes upon it, is blessed with the power to decide its value as a conveyor of contemporary topics in the general media. Like Freemasonry, illustration is not a religion. It does, however, require the artist to hold various beliefs. Those beliefs, of course, are theirs to choose and believe in. Illustration makes no demands of which kinds of beliefs one must hold, because this would undermine the secret society of editorial business artists. The apron, the gavel, the legend, all of those icons which are not seen here, are completely up to the creator, and not up to the society which employs symbolism to capture the mindshare of the people who make up the audience.
