Cartoon of the Month December 2025

Menekşe Çam's wonderful cartoon “Seas and Oceans” convinced us because of its very strong surprise effect. Sad, but upon deeper reflection also seemingly true, is her unique idea that it would probably be easier to get the few sea creatures out of the ocean than the endless millions of tons of microplastic waste. Menekşe Çam uses a classic mechanism of cartoon art in the form of bitter, highly sarcastic irony - as her passionate indictment of the world's polluters, i.e. all of us. Because we should never forget what we do every day. For our „Cartoon of the Month December 2025“, the well-known artist Menekşe Çam had been also honored with a Special Prize at the „International Caricature Competition Morocco 2025“ - great congratulations!
