Jayashankar of Telangana, a farmer living in Bhupalpalli district, 75-year-old Basaviah and his wife Lakshmi wanted a Pattaar Passbook for their land. For this, both the tehsildars Satyanarayan asked for his land leasehold passbook. Tehsildar sought a bribe of Rs one lakh from the farmer for allegedly issuing the Pattadar passbook. The farmers troubled by this demand several times rounded up the offices of officials, but no matter what happened.
